Broad Street Mall will come alive with colour, music, and celebration on Saturday 16th August, as Broad Street Beats returns to mark Pride.

In collaboration with The Rhoom Studios, the Mall is welcoming visitors from 11am – 3pm to enjoy a FREE, feel-good day of live music, local talent, and joyful community spirit in the lead-up to Reading Pride.

The stage will host a vibrant mix of performers, shining a spotlight on fantastic local artists. With energy, diversity, and entertainment at the heart of the programme, the event promises a lively and inclusive experience for all.

Highlights on the day include:

  • FREE glitter art for all ages, bringing extra sparkle and colour to the celebration.
  • An appearance from Topsy, Broad Street Mall’s beloved mascot, who will be joining in the fun and handing out FREE sweets throughout the day.

As part of the day, Broad Street Mall is proud to continue its support of the Every Little Thing Festival, which returns this September in memory of Diva Gibson, who tragically lost her life to suicide in 2020. Founded by her mother, Sinead Gibson, the festival shines a light on mental health awareness, support services, and suicide prevention. Sinead will join the Broad Street Beats event to help raise awareness and promote this important cause.

With the full artist lineup to be revealed soon, this summer edition of Broad Street Beats aims to unite the community and create meaningful moments through the uplifting power of live music. As part of an ongoing series of music showcases, Broad Street Beats will continue throughout the year and into 2026, offering regular opportunities for visitors to come together and enjoy free entertainment in the heart of Reading.
