THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault and robbery in Reading.
It comes after a 15-year-old boy was approached by a group of three teenage boys in Prospect Park on Monday, June 16.
At around 12.45pm, near the Harvester restaurant, the victim had his arms held behind his back while he was punched in the face several times, before items were stolen from him.
He suffered from a broken jaw, for which he received hospital treatment, but has since been discharged.
The offenders are all described as boys, aged around 15-years-old. They were all wearing dark tracksuits and two of them also wore balaclavas.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Josh Gillespie of the Reading Priority Crime Team said: “This was a violent and seemingly unprovoked assault on a teenager, who was also robbed by the offenders.
“This has had a significant impact on the victim, who needed hospital treatment.
“I am appealing to anybody who may have witnessed this incident, or who know who the offenders are or have any information that may assist this investigation to please get in touch with us.
