Blue Collar will be taking over Reading’s Market Place with festive foodie treats for the next two weekends.

A variety of stalls will be serving up street food to tempt the taste buds. And there will a bar and live music.

It starts on Saturday, December 11, and Sunday, December 12, with stalls returning on Saturday, December 18, and Sunday, December 19.

Food and drink will be served from 11am until late.

Each weekend will see a different line up on offer, from a mix of newcomers and regular stands at Blue Collar’s weekly events.

This weekend sees the debut of Tapas Culture, which will be serving up paella at its first Blue Collar event.

Wood-fired Italian pizza will be available from market regulars Sarv’s Slice. It will be joined by other regulars Fink Street Food dishing out Sharwama chicken and falafel, and Makan Malaysia.

Returning to the event is gourmet burger company, Meat Juice, which is pitching up for both weekends.

Also at both weekends will be The Bissy Tree, serving its iconic jerk chicken.

Gurt Wings’ award-winning fried chicken, YouBao’s noodle and bao bun stall, and loaded fries from Dirty Snax will be there too.

The following weekend Thai food regulars Krua Koson will join the market.

Italian street food including pizza and arancini will be served up by Polentista and Mainstreet Pizza.

Persian tacos will be making a return to the market with Senor Saffron, and event newcomers Vegan Earthlings will be landing to cater for those with a meat-free diet.

Visitors to both weekends can enjoy sweet treats from Churros Garcia and drinks from The Double-Barrelled brewery bar.

All Blue Collar events are free to enter.

Blue Collar’s weekday appearances in the Market Place on Wednesday and Friday lunchtimes will continue as normal.
