A CHARITY in Berkshire is keeping the Paralympic spirit alive with an event later this month.
Berkshire Vision, which provides support for people experiencing sight loss across Berkshire, has announced the Beyond Sight Games.
The event will be an inclusive day of sports taster sessions, designed to empower individuals with visual impairment.
Attendees will take part in a broad array of sports, including tandem cycling, swimming, blind football, athletics, and archery.
It is aimed at helping those with sight loss to build their confidence in participating in sport while also exploring new sports and connecting with others in the community.
Clare Matthews, Berkshire Vision’s Marketing and Communications Officer, said: “At Berkshire Vision, we believe that sports should be accessible to everyone, regardless of visual ability.
“The Beyond Sight Games is an opportunity for individuals to challenge their perceptions, discover new sports, and connect with others in a supportive and inclusive environment.”
Berkshire Vision’s Beyond Sight Games takes place from 9am-4pm on Thursday, September 19, at Palmer Park.
There is an entry fee of £5 and advanced booking is required.
