A gymnastics coach from Bracknell has been shortlisted for a top honour at the British Gymnastics Awards.

Kerry Scotts, of Sparkles Gymnastics Club, has been recognised for her outstanding contribution to the sport, supporting gymnasts in her community and promoting a safe, inclusive, and accessible environment.

The British Gymnastics Awards celebrate individuals and organisations that help keep gymnastics enjoyable, safe, and open to everyone, while making a positive impact on local communities and wider society. They also recognise clubs that have excelled in promoting and developing the sport while leaving a lasting legacy for participants.

Speaking about her nomination, Kerry said: “I was very surprised to receive the news about my nomination. I have no clue who has nominated me, but I’m truly grateful someone recognises my efforts. It made me smile and what a lovely way to start 2026.”

The awards spotlight trailblazers, role models, and those who go above and beyond to provide uplifting gymnastics experiences. This year, they will also highlight the British Gymnastics Foundation’s awards, recognising people who are transforming lives through gymnastics.

Sarah Powell, Chief Executive of British Gymnastics, said: “This year, we are delighted to recognise another outstanding group of nominees for the 2026 British Gymnastics Awards, reflecting the extraordinary individuals and organisations that continue to shape our sport.

“A strong theme throughout this year’s awards is the celebration of those who consistently go above and beyond to deliver inspiring gymnastics experiences, bringing to life our core values of being inclusive, supportive and aspirational.

“To all our finalists, congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. Your commitment and contributions make a real difference, and you should be extremely proud of the impact you have on our sport.”

The winners of the various categories will be announced in early February.
