A FOUNDATION in Berkshire has awarded thousands of pounds to a charity partnership which is helping people with their mental health.
The Berkshire Community Foundation (BCF) has awarded £3,000 to Oxfordshire Mind, who jointly run the Mind in Berkshire partnership.
BCF works with to raise and distribute funds for good causes in the county by working with businesses, organisations, and individuals, as well as providing support to charities.
The funding will support a series of web seminars aimed at helping staff to work with young people, focusing on topics which have been highlighted as priority issues.
They will include insights into work already in place as well as extra tips to help staff deal with young people.
Mind in Berkshire is a collaboration between the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire branches of Mind, which provides mental health support across the BOB integrated care system.
Jess Willsher, CEO of Oxfordshire Mind, said: “We’re delighted to receive this grant which will allow us to further develop our existing work with children and young people in Berkshire.
“Our young people’s Mental Health Forum allows us to work with students to identify and address the issues which matter to them, improving understanding to lead to better mental health and wellbeing outcomes.”
