ONE OF Reading’s festivals has just announced the first batch of performers who will be performing when it returns in the summer.
Are You Listening? Festival has laid out its first few acts ahead of it’s eleventh annual event in May.
Liverpool’s alternative rock four-piece The Mysterines were among the performers announced, hot on the heels of their debut album last year.
Reading’s own Dr Satso has also been announced, promising “swampy” grooves with a sinister twist.
They’ll be joined by Antony Szmierek, who blends introspective poetry and verse with indie-drenched hip-hop, and Oxford rockers Barrelhaus.
Also on the bill is indie rock outfit The Mezz, London’s Picture Parlour, and Zimbabwean singer-songwriter Kah’Nya.
Hailing from Buckinghamshire, Home Counties have been added to the line-up, as have C Duncan and Grace Pounds.
Last year’s festival was short-listed for the Grassroots Champion award at last year’s inaugural LIVE awards.
It has also taken Festival of the Year and Partnership in the Arts awards at Reading Cultural Awards.
Are You Listening? Festival takes place at venues across Reading on Saturday, May 11, next year.
