Potential new Reading FC owner Rob Couhig has teased fans on social media with his latest post.
It is expected that Couhig is jn the final stages of finalising a deal to buy Reading from current owner Dai Yongge.
Couhig was chairman at Wycombe Wanderers for five years and attempted to purchase Reading’s Bearwood Park training ground earlier this year.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Couhig hinted that he would be tuning in to watch Reading’s pre-season friendly tomorrow when they host Championship side Queens Park Rangers.
Alongside a screenshot of a purchase of a Royals TV package to watch the game, he said: “Well, that’s sorted. Royals to package purchased. Should be quality preparation for the season. Anxious to see the boys in action.”
Hundreds of Reading fans have interacted with the post, most of which expressing optimism that they hope a deal is completed in the coming week.
Reading will begin their League One season on Saturday, August 10 away to promotion favourites Birmingham City.
