Investigating officer Sergeant Matt Cadmore, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “This is an ongoing and extremely complex investigation following the tragic death of a man aged in his sixties.

“The man’s family is being supported by specially trained family liaison officers, and our thoughts remain with them.

“I am today re-appealing for anybody who has not yet contacted us, who believe that they may have any information that could assist this investigation to please get in touch.

“Even the smallest piece of information may prove vital in helping us to ascertain exactly what has happened.

“As well as continuing to seek witnesses, I am also making a specific appeal to anybody who was travelling along the A4 Bath Road last Wednesday between the M4 and Reading town centre, in both directions.

“The collision occurred near to Lidl’s car park, we have reviewed CCTV and I thank those who have already come forward.

“However, I would ask anyone who was in the area between 6.20am and 6.40am last Wednesday to please check your dash-cams and get in touch with us if you’ve seen anything unusual, or suspicious.

“Anybody with information is urged to make a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference 43250602213.”
