Proceeds from the quarterly fashion sales provide critical funding for Smart Works Reading’s services for unemployed women in Berkshire. The charity provides interview outfits and coaching to help women gain the confidence and practical skills needed to secure employment, with 63% of clients going on to get a job within a month of their appointment.
Alex Williams, Fundraising Trustee, Smart Works Reading said of the sale: “After the success of our winter sale at Reading Minster, we’re delighted to be returning for our latest seasonal sale. It’s such a great, central location and means that more people will be able to access the incredible fashion bargains we have on the rails.
“For anyone who is interested in fashion at incredible prices, come along to grab high quality preloved fashion, carefully curated vintage pieces, and some amazing new with labels bargains.
“The Smart Works Reading Fashion Sale is easy on your wallet and your conscience – all items are donated to us by brands and individuals, and proceeds from the sale helps to fund our vital service supporting local unemployed women into work.”
