AVON and Somerset Police are appealing for help locating a wanted man who has links to Reading.
Gary Rootham, 42, absconded from HMP Leyhill in South Gloucestershire on Friday, July 19, where he was serving sentences for offences including robbery, burglary, and driving charges.
He was last seen by prison staff at around 4.50pm on Friday, wearing a dark Nike polo shirt, dark jogging bottoms, and black trainers with white soles,
He is described as being around 5ft 11in, with short dark hair.
He is usually clean-shaven and has links to Reading and Cornwall.
Police advise members of the public not to approach him if they see him, and instead to call 999 immediately, quoting reference number 5224 1886 47.
