A fight on the Tilehurst/Southcote borders last night has led to Thames Valley Police taking action.

It has put in place a 12-hour Section 60 order for parts of Southcote and Tilehurst until 11.10am this morning.

The area includes Prospect Park,

The order can be extended for a further 12 hours if police feel it is necessary.

The order gives officers temporary powers in a defined location including stop and search orders.

In a statement on social media, police said: “Following multiple reports of a fight (on the evening of Thursday, August 25) in Honey End Lane and the Bath Road, Thames Valley Police has authorised a Section 60 order.”
