Drag performers Grace Anatomy and Miss Charley O’llocks are set to host the PrideXtra stage this year, but are seeking funding to bring in strong local talent to perform with an event at Vino Vita next week.

The pair will celebrate the spirit of the community alongside a host of fellow talent in games, performance, music, and interactive quizzing.

The Pride Xtra stage has been a part of the Love Unites event since 2019, since which it has showcased rising talent, with a particular focus on drag.

The pair agreed to host the stage after hearing that it might not return to the festival and said: “The PrideXtra Stage has always been the beating heart of Reading Pride – a platform where emerging talent, diverse voices, and passionate performers can share their art with thousands of festival-goers.

“The fundraiser represents a crucial opportunity for the community to come together and support Reading Pride’s mission of celebrating diversity and providing a platform for emerging performers, and promises to be one of the most entertaining ways to make a difference.”

The fundraiser is set to take place at Vino Vita from 6.30pm on Tuesday, July 22.

Ticket holders receive a free welcome drink and a 15% discount on all food and drink throughout the evening.
