A TEACHER in Woodley has been sentenced to jail time for child sex offences.

Richard Still, aged 38 and of Louden Square, Earley, has been sentenced for child sex offences following a Thames Valley Police investigation.

He was given six years and eight months’ imprisonment and an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order at a hearing at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday, December 19.

He will also be subject to indefinite conditions upon his release.

It comes after Still pleaded guilty to three counts of engaging in sexual activity with a girl under 16 and a further count of causing or inciting child prostitution or pornography at a hearing on Monday, November 13.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Rivkah Winetroube, of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: “The child in this case has been very brave in coming forward and I would encourage anyone who has been a victim of childhood sexual abuse to report it to police by visiting a police station, calling 101 or via our website.
