Whiteknights bowling club is inviting members of the community to try out a new sport when they host their annual taster days in October.

Potential new members will get the opportunity to play bowls with the guidance of club coaches and members.

They will also be given a guided tour of the club to check out the facilities and soak up the atmosphere of the club.

The club will host two taster sessions. The first takes place on Sunday, October 1 and the second on Sunday, October 8 between 2.30pm – 6.30pm.

They are also offering to cater to different individual needs if an interested person is not able to attend either of the open days.

Whiteknights are hoping to develop their links with the local community and will work with a number of new groups this season, including Parkinson’s Reading, Age UK, Wokingham Dementia Partnership, The Lions Club, Caversham Blind Bowlers, Wokingham Blind Bowlers, Young Epilepsy and more.
