AN EVENT celebrating Whiskey in all of its variations returned to Reading on Sunday.
The Whiskey Affair Festival brings special selections of spirits from around the world as well as live music and guest speakers.
It features dedicated collections of scotch, bourbons, and different malts as well as offering a number of whiskey-based cocktails.
Bourbons from the United States were showcased alongside scotch from both independent distilleries and famous brands.
The festival also saw a live, acoustic performance from guitarist Daryl Kellie, and a masterclass led by whiskey enthusiast Grant Ballentine.
Organiser Catherine Jackson said: “Those who came to the event really enjoyed it, and there was a new masterclass on bourbon led by Grant Ballentine, which was very much embraced by attendees.
She added that people can often be surprised by what’s on offer: “There’s far more variety than people think once you explore it more.”
Organisers say that the festival began in 2015 and originated from a desire to help people “explore the world of whiskey against a backdrop of good music, good fun, and a sense of inclusivity for any level of knowledge.”
