TWO London men have been arrested following the robbery of tens of thousands of pounds worth of cash earlier this week.
Casey Kodua, aged 18 and of Waltheof Avenue, and Nicolas Jalo, aged 23, of Hamlets Way, were charged with robbery, aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving, and impersonating a police officer.
It follows an incident where a man in his forties was driving along Sidmouth Street at around 3.10pm on Monday, July 15, when he was directed to pull over by a black Mitsubishi Outlander which was displaying blue lights.
Three offenders got out of the car dressed in fake police fleeces and threatened the victim with incapacitant spray.
They then stole around £40,000 worth of foreign currency.
The victim did not sustain any injuries in the incident.
