PARENTS will have the chance to read with their children, as well as take a free picture book home with them, thanks to a weekly project.
Reading Together sessions for parents and toddlers take place on Tuesday mornings from October 3-17, at Whitley Library. Meet-ups give families the chance to spend quality time together while young ones take their first steps in literacy.
Supported by Reading Borough Libraries, BookTrust and the University of Reading, the initiative will feature books such as Thomas Doherty’s The House that Jumped, Steve Small’s The Duck who Didn’t Like Water, and Zoom Farm Adventure by Susan Hayes and Aviel Basil.
Sessions take place from 9.30am-10.15am and are free to attend. Prior booking is not required.
