Bidding has opened on an auction of eight individual freehold titles of roads and land, including in Tilehurst, with a guide price of £50.
The single lot is described by the auctioneer as various land areas or roadway interests, subject to access rights, situated in various very popular residential locations in Berkshire and Hampshire.
Freehold land at 171 Long Lane in Tilehurst is part of the auction.
The four locations in Wokingham are land lying to the south side of roundabout lane in Winnersh, land lying to the south west of Reading Road in Winnersh, land lying to the north east side of Chackfield Drive in Winnersh and land at 39 Sadlers Lane in Winnersh.
Other land parcels in Pewsey, Pamber Heath and Basingstoke are also part of the same lot.
Notes supplied by the auctioneer state that should any part of the freehold titles been previously adopted by local councils, these will be maintained and repaired at public expense – and not the owner of the freehold title interests.
It added: “Buyers should rely on their own investigations and land searches.
“Each auction buyer shall rely solely on obtaining its own advice and any prior necessary consents/permissions for any alternative change of use the buyer proposes, and the buyer agrees to accept the land as it stands in all respects on completion.”
Land Registry documents seen by Reading Today indicate Westbuild Ltd was a previous owner of some of the land parcels.
This is the same company that had been responsible for auctioning similar parcels of land and roadways in the Barkham area of Wokingham in recent months.
The online auction, hosted by Yorkshire Auction House, ends at 1.18pm tomorrow (Tuesday, January 30).
