A pharmaceutical temperature-controlled logistics expert based in Theale has secured a prestigious win at the highly acclaimed Insider’s Made in Southeast Awards 2023.
Tower Cold Chain scooped the Manufacturing Innovation Award, for its contribution to the delivery of lifesaving medicines.
The award was in recognition for the role it played in ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of Covid-19 vaccines, introducing cutting-edge solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of the pharmaceutical industry.
And during the pandemic, the company launched the KTM42D, an advanced solution tailored for ultra-cold temperature critical pharmaceuticals, maintaining the integrity of temperature-sensitive vaccines.
The firm also introduced the KTEvolution, a lightweight solution that can be handled manually. This can be used in smaller shipments, including direct-to-patient deliveries, clinical trials, and last-mile distribution.
The KTEvolution not only enhances the efficiency of pharmaceutical logistics but also addresses the specific challenges associated with transporting smaller quantities of critical medications.
“The Manufacturing Innovation Award highlights Tower Cold Chain’s pivotal role in driving innovations in healthcare,” says Niall Balfour, CEO of Tower Cold Chain.
“As an organisation founded in the South East, we take great pride in our significant local contributions that resonate globally, in the delivery of lifesaving pharmaceuticals.”
