THAMES Valley Police has made an arrest following a series of incidents including assault and criminal damage in Reading.
A 19-year-old man from Surrey has been arrested on suspicion of damage, assault and actual bodily harm.
He remains in police custody.
It follows multiple incidents which took place between around noon and 1.30pm on Tuesday, June 25, when two people used slingshots to fire objects at pedestrians from a white van.
Multiple incidents took place in Woodley and Earley, including in Crockhamwell Road, Woodlands Avenue, Beechwood Avenue and Wokingham Road.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Johnathan Hare said: “We would like to reassure the public that we are taking these incidents extremely seriously.
“Our officers are continuing to investigate this series of incidents and we would like to appeal to any witnesses or victims to please come forward.
“We are also appealing to anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam or doorbell footage.
