FAMOUS works by Gilbert and Sullivan will provide a sunny side to a concert taking place in Mortimer later this month.
Members of Reading Haydn Choir are rehearing for An English Summer Concert.
The programme features some of the duo’s opera choruses, as well as Elgar’s The Early Part-Songs, Chilcott’s Nicaros Jazz Mass, and Rutter’s The Sprig of Thyme.
The choir will be conducted by Mandy Kesel, and accompanied on the keyboard by Ian Westley.
It takes place on Sunday, June 23, from 7.30pm, at St John’s CofE Church in West End Road.
Tickets cost £15, or £5 for under 17s.
