Station Hill opens new multi-use workspace with The Quad

A NEW workspace has opened in the centre of Reading as part of the new multi-use development.

ONE Station Hill has opened the doors to a new workspace, The Quad, adding to its fitness and wellness spaces, accommodation, and retail outlets.

The Quad combines private offices, co-working spaces, meeting rooms, and business amenities across 30,000 sq ft and two storeys.

Operator NewFlex has seen previous branches of The Quad opened in Oxford, Cambridge and Bracknell, and is due for more, including a signature London site at the TIDE Bankside building.

It comes as the development has achieved Platinum WiredScore Certification, denoting the highest standards for wired infrastructure, wireless network accessibility, and durability.

It is all-electric, using air-sourced heat pumps, targeting BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ certification, a Platinum ‘WELL’ score, a Platinum Cycling score, a Platinum AirRated score and an EPC ‘A’ rating.

The site generates 8% lower emissions than a comparable Grade A office building.

ONE Station Hill opened in central Reading in February, culminating a years-long project to connect Reading Station with Friar Street with an expansive public space, businesses, and apartments.

The project, delivered by Lincoln MGT, the joint venture with MGT Investment Management, traverses a site which previously contained Friars Walk shopping centre, a car park, bus depot, and office buildings dating from the 1970s.
