TWO soap stars from rival channels will be rivals themselves when they come to Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre next month.
Coronation Street’s Todd Boyce and Neil McDermott are the two stars of Sleuth, a thriller about thrillers.
A young man arrives at the impressive home of a famous mystery writer, only to be unwittingly drawn into a tangled web of intrigue and gamesmanship, where nothing is quite as it seems…
Written by Anthony Shaffer, and turned into two films starring Michael Caine, the play is an an intriguing study of human conflict, jealousy, and manipulation. Proving to be far more than a ‘whodunnit’, it promises to baffle even the most proficient sleuth.
It played for 12 years in both London and New York, has won awards, and become a film favourite.
In the original movie, Michael Caine was the younger protagonist, playing against Laurence Olivier. In the remake, he was the older man, this time protagonist by Jude Law.
This current tour launched at the Theatre Royal Windsor last month, and will be at the Yvonne Arnaud from Tuesday, April 23, through to Saturday, April 7.
Curtain up is at 7.30pm, with a 2.30pm matinee on Thursday and Saturday.
Tickets cost from £29, with concessions from £13.
