Keen runners will have the chance to tackle a river 10k and half marathon as Henley hosts its event for the second year running.

The event, which will take place on Sunday, March 31, will begin by the Temple Island Meadows which is also used at the start line for the Royal Henley Rowing Regatta.

Organised by RunThrough, they are aiming to offer what they describe as a ‘unique and breathtaking’ trail run as athletes will tackle the course in the picturesque surroundings of Henley-on-Thames.

The organisers say that the event is ideal for both seasoned runners and those new to trail running with each kilometre being marked out by distance flags, while volunteers will be on hand to offer support.

RunThrough says: “Be a part of this unique trail run and immerse yourself in the charm of Henley-on-Thames. Join us for a day of fitness, camaraderie, and the joy of running in one of the UK’s most sought-after locations.”

Registration for the event is now open. For more information, visit: www.runthrough.co.uk/event/henley-river-10k-half-marathon-march-2024
