Manager Ruben Selles has officially departed Reading Football Club to join Championship side Hull City.
The Royals boss has impressed with the League One side despite having to deal with numerous distractions including points deductions, wages being paid late while the club has been in a takeover saga for more than a year.
Selles had more than 18 months remaining on his Reading contract which means that Hull paid the Royals a compensation package.
Dai Yongge put the club up for sale over a year ago, but no deal is close to being agreed despite some close calls, while fans have continued to protest throughout the last year.
Selles joined the Royals last summer following a short stint in interim charge with Premier League Southampton.
Selles led Reading to survival last season and finished in 17th place on 53 points.
Reading have made significant progress this campaign under Selles’ coaching and are currently in 6th position in League One having amassed 30 points from 17 matches.
Hull City are currently in 22nd place in the Championship on 15 points from 18 games and sacked previous boss Tim Walter last month.
???? The Royals have confirmed that Noel Hunt will take charge of the first-team on an interim basis.
