UPDATE: The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust has announced it has resolved the incident, and resumed normal service.
The Trust posted to social media saying: “Thank you to everyone for their patience.
“We are pleased to report the IT incident has now been resolved, and Trust has returned to business as usual. ”

THE ROYAL Berkshire NHS Trust is currently being affected by an “IT incident.”
The Trust posted to social media to say that it was currently dealing with the issue, and to avoid contacting the trust “unless absolutely necessary.”
It also asked that people “avoid using our Emergency Department except in case of serious and life-threatening emergencies.”
The post was made at around 7.20PM on Wednesday, September 7.
