POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision left two people hospitalised in Reading.
At 5.30pm on Sunday, March 29, a dark blue Volkswagen Golf and a green Ford Fiesta were involved in a collision on Shinfield Road, at the junction with Wellington Avenue.
A man in his fifties and a woman in her sixties, who were both in the Ford Fiesta, sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Investigating officer PC Anthony Alderson of the Roads Policing Unit said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of this incident which has left two people with serious injuries.
“I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward and ask any drivers who were in the area at the time and have dashcam footage to review it, as it may contain important information about the collision or the moments leading up to it.”
