Our first issue of November featured a moment that will go down in Reading FC’s history: fans staging a protest march for the second time.

While the 1980s one was aimed at preventing the club from merging with Oxford United, this was to show the strength of feeling from fans about its current ownership.

Among the marchers were MPs Matt Rodda and James Sunderland and former Reading FC player Dave Kitson.

We featured the march in pictures and captured the strength of feeling from fans.

The current mayor of Reading, Cllr Tony Page, announced that he would step down as a councillor after 50 years in the role. Representing Abbey ward, he will retire at May’s local elections.

Traffic plans to make it easier for cyclists were announced for London Road. It would see a lane removed for cars, and being repurposed for two-wheeled transport.
