TRIBUTES to two of the UK’s biggest bands are set to perform at a Reading venue later this month.

Sex P*ssed Dolls initially began covering work by their namesakes The Sex Pistols as well as by The Clash, Buzzcocks, and Nirvana, among others, but have since begun to release their own material.

The five-piece draws on a comprehensive repertoire for a boisterous and iconoclastic set full of punk angst and apathy.

After touring in 2015, the band were featured on the Forumla 1 British Grand Prix and performed alongside the likes of Run DMC, Kaiser Chiefs, and David Guetta.

Their debut EP, Maniac, in 2016 was swiftly followed by a live album recorded at Parr Hall in Warrington, and the band are gearing up for a return to touring.

They’ll be joined by Reading’s own riotous and renowned Remones, a four-piece tribute to the peerless purveyors of punk.

Remones take to the stage in a flurry of irreverence and acidic guitar riffs, barrelling through their catalogue with effortless speed and abandon.

Expect angsty covers of some of the bands very best work, including Blitzkrieg Bop, Sheena is a Punk Rocker, and Gabba Gabba.
