ELECTRICAL wires at Reading station have been damaged, leading to passengers being evacuated and trains delayed.
Network Rail is warning that services will be cancelled or delayed while they work to rectify the problem.
Some services are now back to normal, but others are still facing delays as they are routed along different lines.
CrossCountry routes are back to normal, but other services could leave up to 15 minutes late.
Passengers have taken to social media to reports of a loud bang and lots of sparks.
Great Western Railways posted on its website: “Due to damage to the overhead electric wires between Maidenhead and Didcot Parkway some lines are blocked.
“Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.
“Disruption is expected until the end of the day.”
