READING Road in Wokingham has been closed following a police incident.

Shortly after 12.30pm, Reading Buses tweeted that it was diverting buses between Rifle Volunteer and Winnersh Crossroads as the road was closed.

The road has been closed following emergency response to a road traffic collision with unconfirmed reports of a fatality.

Thames Valley Buses has also tweeted that it was diverting services away from Reading Road and is advising that commuters use the Hail and Ride service on Clifton Road.

This means that the Reading Buses Lion 4 and X4 route, as well as the Thames Valley Buses route 128/129, will be diverted.

Reading Road is expected to be closed for a number of hours while emergency services respond.
