A READING-BASED publisher has announced the beginning of a new four-part fantasy series.

Cahill Davis Publishing is announcing the release of GHOULSMEN, the debut fantasy novel by rising author A.C. Hughes, which will be available from Friday, May 16.

Set against a backdrop of post-frontier survival and supernatural warfare, GHOULSMEN follows Rav Carvell, a reluctant young fighter from a privileged family.

They are thrust into chaos when a violent new realm, known as The Sink, tears open at the edge of civilization.

As one of the last defenders of the town of Pitt, Rav joins the outlaw band known as the Ghoulsmen to hold the line against the horrors spilling through the breach.

But when a ruthless army invades the region, Rav must outwit their devious leader Champion Tibald Sar whilst also confronting an enemy not entirely of this world, mutated, monstrous, and unlike anything he has ever faced.

Thinking about electric vehicles for you or your small business?

GHOULSMEN is the first installment in a four-part series, with the next titles scheduled for release at three month intervals following the debut.

Cassandra, founder at Cahill Davis Publishing, said: “I was excited to read Alex’s submission as it caught my attention with its Dark Fantasy elements.

“I loved the first three chapters and then found out that Alex had written a follow up, with planned third and fourth novels already.

“Once I’d read the full manuscript and the synopsis for the next three, I knew that this was a series I couldn’t pass on.

“I love Ghoulsmen’s original magic system and every twist and turn.”

GHOULSMEN is set to arrive on shelves on Friday, May 16.
