Reading musical legend Ben Marwood is performing a hometown gig later this weekend.
He is said to be a songwriting genius who really should be bigger than a big thing.
Unassuming yet intelligent and dedicated, he has taken his rise to fame through folk-inspired music, with lilting melodies punctuated with snappy lines.
He has released multiple albums by Extra Mile recordings, including his third album Get Found in 2017.
The Middle English songwriter is performing on Friday, July 28 at The Rising Sun Arts Centre in Reading’s Silver Street. The gig is organised by Club Velocity.
Support comes from Oxygen Thief, aka Barry Dolan. He is a singer-songwriter that is rated all over the globe. Also appearing will be Darcey Hope, a Fleet musician fresh from playing the Glastonbury Festival.
Doors open at 8pm, performance start at 8.30pm. Tickets are £11 and available from www.wegottickets.com.
