READING is set to hold an event to mark Chinese New Year this weekend.
Reading Chinese School, in partnership with Reading Borough Council, BID, and other local schools and communities are set to celebrate with a whole day of events at Reading Town Hall.
From 10.30am, the event will see a series of traditional Chinese workshops, followed by a street parade and outdoor performances from 11.45am.
The event will close with a roster of indoor performances from 1.30pm.
The Chinese New Year Celebration takes place from 10.30am at Reading Town Hall, Blagrave Street on Sunday, March 1.
Workshops are free, but tickets are required for performances.
