Reading FC came back from a goal behind to take three points in their home clash with Huddersfield Town.

After going a goal behind, Harvey Knibbs levelled before Ben Elliott struck a second-half winner.

David Button 7: Made a stunning save to tip the free-kick onto the crossbar, but Reading were slow to react and Pearson pounced on the rebound.

Kelvin Abrefa 6: His first league start for a long time coming in for the injured Dorsett. Grew into the game and stood up to the test. Taken off late on and replaced by Harlee Dean, but Selles confirmed it wasn’t an injury.

Tyler Bindon 6.5: Won plenty of duels and did well to help out Abrefa on the right flank. Also made some important blocks and clearances.

Amadou Mbengue 6.5: Defended strongly for the most part. A bright moment in the final 10 minutes of the match when he anticipated brilliantly to win the ball before playing a delightful pass to Ehibhatiomhan.

Michael Craig 6: Continues at right-back in the absence of skipper Andy Yiadom, who is expected to be out until the New Year. A sold enough display.

Lewis Wing 6.5: Almost cost his side when he gave the ball away deep in his own half, but got away with it. Much better in the second-half. Helped to set up the winner from the short corner and showed his usual composure on the ball late on.

Ben Elliott 7: Arguably Reading’s best performer so far this season and scored a second game running. Took his goal well as he found space on the edge of the box and got it through a crowd of bodies to beat the keeper.

Harvey Knibbs 7.5: Great to have him back in the side. His tenacious pressing won him the ball in Huddersfield’s half and he then finished off with a thumping strike in at the near post.

Chem Campbell 5: Has had a difficult start to his time at the club. Put in the effort, but isn’t producing enough in the final third.

Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan 7.5: A threat all afternoon. Kept drifting in from the left wing to cause Huddersfield problems.

Sam Smith 5: Really struggled to get involved in the final third and didn’t have a single touch inside the opposition box. Reading need to find a way to give him service up top.
