Reading FC are keen on bringing Chem Campbell back to the club on a permanent deal this summer transfer window.
According to Football League World, The Royals have already entered talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign the winger.
Campbell spent last season on loan with Reading as the club missed out on the play-offs on the final day of the season.
After a slow start to his time with the club, Campbell eventually found consistency and managed to contribute five goals and two assists in 39 League One appearances in the 2024/25 campaign.
Now under the ownership of Rob Couhig, Reading wil be able to operate in the transfer market without any restrictions for the first time in several years.
However, it is believed that the deal would be on a free transfer, with a future sell on clause included
22-year-old Campbell has had loan spells with Wycombe Wanderers and Charlton Athletic prior to his one-year stint with Reading.
Noel Hunt is keen on bringing Campbell back to the club on a permanent deal as he looks to bolster his attacking options.
The Royals are yet to add to their squad in the early days of the transfer window, but have signed star player Lewis Wing to a new contract and have offered new deals to several key players.
