Reading FC will kick off the new 2025/26 campaign with an away fixture at Lincoln City on Saturday, August 2.

The Royals will then host Huddersfield Town the following week for their first home fixture of the season at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

Reading are looking forward to a new era under the ownership of Rob Couhig.

So far, the Royals have added two new players, goalkeeper Jack Stevens and defender Paudie O’Connor.

Meanwhile, club captain Andy Yiadom, Lewis Wing and Joel Pereira have signed new contracts, while several other key players have been offered new contracts with announcements expected shortly.

Reading will be away on Boxing Day against Plymouth Argyle, who were relegated from the Championship last season. They will then host Burton Albion on New Year’s Day.
