READING FC fans showed their anger at club owner Dai Yongge by throwing tennis balls onto the pitch during their match with Bolton Wanderers.

In the 16th minute of the game, Reading fans threw tennis balls onto the pitch to disrupt the game while they loudly chanted in protest of the owner.

The Royals have had continuing punishments since Dai Yongge took ownership of the club in 2017.

Reading have been deducted 16 points in total under the current ownership, including points penalties in their last three campaigns.

After receiving a six point deduction last season, Reading were relegated from the Championship and are playing in the third tier for the first time in more than two decades.

To show their dismay at the ownership, Reading fan groups set up pressure group ‘Sell Before We Dai’ in the summer to urge Dai Yongge to sell the club.
