READING FC boss Paul Ince believes that Manchester United staff showed a ‘lack of respect’ after their FA Cup fourth round tie.
The Royals boss was disappointed that he and his staff were not invited to have a drink with Man United’s coaching staff after the match.
“What kind of disappointed me is that none of their staff asked us in for a glass of wine,” said Ince.
“I didn’t like that. It’s a lack of respect. Whether you win, lose or draw, you say ‘pop in for a drink.’
“None of them did that so it was disappointing for me.”
Despite not getting to discuss matters with current United boss Erik Ten Hag, Ince did get to visit his former boss Sir Alex Ferguson after the match at Old Trafford.
He continued: “I went to see Sir Alex (Ferguson) because he text me to say ‘make sure you come up to see me straight after’.
“They look after him, he’s the main man. He’s more than a legend, he’s a form of greatness.
“It was great for everyone (the FA Cup game) to go to Old Trafford and experience it.
“It’s great for the club, but it’s done now and we move on.
“We’ve got serious business to take care of and the players know that.”
