THE lunar new year was celebrated in Reading on Sunday with a music, dance and food.
This is the year of the dragon and the Reading Chinese School teamed up with Reading Borough Council, Reading BID, schools and community groups to present a special day at Reading Town Hall.
Throughout the day there were workshops offering insights into Chinese customs and culture, stalls offering goodies to take home, and food to enjoy.
Highlights includes a lion dance, which attracted large crowds, and indoor performance showcasing the very best in Asian entertainment.
Attendees included Reading East MP Matt Rodda and the mayor of Reading, Cllr Tony Page.
