Reading-born star Jamie Gittens is set to complete his huge money move to Premier League big spenders Chelsea imminently.

Borussia Dortmund will be set to receive around £55million for the winger who will become the most expensive uncapped English player of all time.

Gittens, 20, was born in Reading in 2004 and grew up playing youth football at Caversham Trents before he spent five years in the Reading Academy from 2013-18.

He also spent time with Chelsea and Manchester City in their academy systems before he moved to Germany to join Dortmund in 2020.

Having suffered a torn ligament injury during his debut season in Germany, he has managed to shine on the biggest stage for Dortmund since.

The winger had his best season yet in the 2024/25 campaign and netted 12 goals for Dortmund as they finished in 4th place in the Bundesliga.
