THE UNIVERSITY of Reading has ranked highly in an annual guide to help students select universities, reconfirming its place among the top 35 in the UK.
The Complete University Guide for 2025 has ranked the university 35th in its table of top institutions in the UK.
The guide, published this week, examines student satisfaction and post-graduate employment prospects, and cites the university’s recognition for its expertise in areas such as climate science, business, agriculture, and food science.
Six of the university’s subjects were ranked in the top 10 of those offered by UK institutions, and 11 of them ranked in the top 20, including Land and Property Management, which topped its category.
It’s Building courses were ranked third overall, it’s Speech and Language courses jumped five places to fourth, and other subjects have seen ranking jumps, including Psychology, which has risen four places to 30th.
The university’s ranking for student satisfaction alone rose 18 places to 40th overall.
The Complete University Guide uses National Student Survey research which consults those in their final year of study about the quality of teaching and life on campus.
It also lists transport, accommodation, facilities, student support services, and other useful information for students on dedicated pages for each university.
Professor Robert Van de Noort, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Reading, said: “We have maintained our strong position, as a UK University.
“It is great to see that, as well as our traditional areas of strength, there are other subjects maintaining their place in the top 20, such as Education, and Marketing.
“Our successes are a product of the vision, dedication and hard work of staff, and our students’ commitment to learning and developing during their time with us.
“Congratulations to all, on the continued excellence that has been acknowledged today, with this latest ranking.”
