Every week we pick artists with a link to Reading or Wokingham, and you can tune in for free via out Spotify playlist. Enjoy…

Rila’s Edge – All In – They topped our best of year chart last year and they showed why, when they performed exciting sets at both Readipop and Fi-Fest. ‘All In’ is their latest single and it continues their run of quality singles with a blast of strong melodic indie. If you haven’t seen them yet and want to see what the fuss is about, get to Wokingham Festival on Saturday, August 24. They headlined the second stage last year and were so good that they were asked back to headline the main stage this year! That’s a fast rising band! – https://www.rilasedge.com/

Nineteenth Hour – Fire The Gun – It’s a pleasure when you get to a festival early and check out a band that you haven’t seen before and you see them win over the crowd with an impressive performance. This Oxford based band did that with their excellent set at Readipop showing that, as well as being a tight band of musicians with strong vocals, they can write good songs. This is their most recent single – https://www.nineteenthhour.co.uk/

Hats TM – Hand Me Downs – Talking of winning over an audience, this artist also did that at Readipop! Hats TM radiated warmth and likeability with a personality that drew you in and made you want to listen closely. A great performance from an artist with lots of potential as shown on this great new single released on Readipop’s Riser record label. Hats TM describes the music as ‘simultaneously reminding you how awful and beautiful the world is with swooping songs for your soul’. It certainly does that. Wonderful stuff! – https://linktr.ee/hatstm

Who Ate All The Crayons – Tired – The artists above show why you should get to a festival early as you never know what you might discover! Here’s another example as this band will be opening the main stage at Wokingham Festival on Saturday, August 24. They also performed a brilliant set on the Third Lung curated Trailer Stage at Fi-Fest. The band have told us that they have some new music to come soon but in the meantime check out this one which is the latest example of their very good songwriting – https://beacons.ai/waatc

Spriggan Mist – Spell Maker – They’ve been spreading their Spriggan magic all around the country and are back at Wokingham Festival on August 26 – https://www.sprigganmist.com/
