Reading All Steel Pan Orchestra is set to hold a music showcase in Reading next month.
RASPO was named in honour of the Trinidad All Steel Percussion Orchestra, which was the first steel band to perform live in the UK during the 1951 Festival of Britain.
Reading’s iteration started in 1997 at the Central Club, well-known for its iconic Black History Mural,
The Reading All Steel Pan Orchestra Showcase is taking place from 6.30pm-8.30pm on Saturday, October 19, at CultureMix Arts, Queens Walk.
Tickets cost £5, under 12s go free.
