Entrepreneur of the Year, Vikram Singh – Digital Security, Rabbits Vehicle Hire
A cyber security businessman who wants “to make Reading the safest place to work and be in” has been put forward for the Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Vikram Singh is the founder of Digital Security which he started in Reading with a singular mission: keep everyone secure online, said one nominator.
“Vikram is a successful entrepreneur and leader in cyber security and should be seen as a role model for how to do business.
“We know Reading has a lot of IT companies and sole traders, and we’re also a very diverse town which welcomes many from across the UK and abroad. Vikram was born and raised in Reading and is proud to be from here,” they added.
They said he has delivered successful security awareness campaigns to different sized companies in Reading and individuals “reducing the chances of them being a victim of cyber attack and also being more vigilant of the tricks and techniques used by crooks”.
Another nominator said: “I came across him as he reached out to us to help our charity secure our system and premises.
“As an entrepreneur you have to be proactive and he strives so hard to make charities, businesses, and people secure and talks in a way that’s easy to understand, which is important as cyber security can be an area that is scary for people and owners like me.
“He has gone out his way to build a first class business and I’m sure he’s continuing to excel in cyber security.”
