A teacher has built “a fantastic dance family” where many friendships have been created, said her nominator for Entrepreneur of the Year.

They said; “I feel very proud as Sonia’s parent, pupil and administrator to see how ‘Dance with Sonia Brown’ has grown since her first Silver Swans Ballet class five years ago to 17 classes today.

“Sonia shares her love of dance and energy in every class, so her dancers can’t help but feel the joy of dance both mentally and physically.”

Her dancers are mainly over 50, but everyone is encouraged to do what they are able to, they added.

“Sonia continues to look for opportunities for her 300 dancers, such as to perform for their first time – including in the Queen’s Jubilee Pageant.

“Sonia has built a fantastic dance family, many friendships have developed outside of class and our socials are always thoroughly enjoyed,” they said.

“I am sure that I speak for Sonia’s dancers that we feel no other entrepreneur puts their heart and soul in their business like Sonia.”

The Entrepreneur of the Year award is sponsored by Rabbits Vehicle Hire.
