The Inspiration Award, Sam Jacobs, sponsor McDonald’s
A school governor who has “demonstrated an unwavering commitment to community service” has been put forward for The Inspiration Award.
Sam Jacobs “balances his demanding role as a programme manager with his extraordinary contributions as a governor and chair at Brookfields SEN School,” said his nominator.
Sam has served as a governor at the school for nine years,”dedicating his time, expertise, and compassionate leadership to support the school’s mission,” they said.
“Since stepping into the role of chair in January 2021, Sam has navigated the school through numerous challenges, always with a focus on the best outcomes for the students and staff. “Sam’s impact as a governor cannot be overstated. He has been instrumental in guiding the school through tough decisions, providing a steady hand and a clear vision during periods of change and uncertainty,” they added.
“His ability to listen and offer sound advice has made him a crucial ally for the new headteacher, ensuring a smooth transition and fostering an environment of collaboration and support.
“His approachable nature and willingness to guide others have made him a role model within the school community, inspiring new governors,” said the nominator.
“As he transitions from governor to trustee in the newly formed Multi-Academy Trust (MAT), he continues to demonstrate his commitment to all students achieving the best possible outcomes,” they said.
“Sam embodies the spirit of volunteerism through his relentless dedication, leadership, and passion for making a difference. Sam’s legacy of service, mentorship, and leadership will undoubtedly inspire future generations of volunteers,” they added.
