Born in Reading, psychotherapist Pauline Touissaint “exemplifies resilience, dedication and an unwavering commitment to her community,” said her nominator for The Chris Tarrant Award.
Despite difficulties, “she has emerged stronger and more determined than ever to make a positive impact on the lives of others,” they said.
The founder of the non-profit Time to Heal Directory has played a crucial role in accumulating resources to provide vital mental health services to young people and disadvantaged families in Reading, said her nominator.
“Her journey from adversity to empowerment is truly inspiring. Now a coach and psychotherapist, Pauline works faithfully to support people to also transform their lives whilst also working in the diversity, inclusion and belonging space, making significant progress in promoting understanding,” they added.
“Her dedication to transforming lives is evident in all her actions; she works tirelessly to build connections to make a positive difference in the lives of people from Reading and, despite the obstacles, she continues to show determination and commitment.” Pauline’s impact goes beyond her professional accomplishments, they said. “She is a beacon of hope and a source of strength for those around her. Her unwavering dedication to her community makes her an outstanding candidate for this recognition.
Pauline’s work will have a lasting positive impact on Reading, they added. “Her story serves as a powerful reminder of the difference one individual can make and she truly deserves this special recognition.”
