“Miracle workers” at Berkshire MS Therapy Centre offer a wide range of services and “excellent support and therapies” to people living with Multiple Sclerosis, says its nominator for Charity of the Year, sponsored by ROC Search.
“The centre itself offers a welcoming environment for those with the condition, their friends, family and carers,” they said.
“The therapy centre is simply amazing, offering free therapies for those with MS, from counselling to physiotherapy. Funded by donations the centre has made a huge difference to so many lives.
“I have seen how people deteriorated during the Covid lockdowns, when therapies weren’t available, and how they have improved since therapies restarted,” they added.
“Friends who could walk before Covid became wheelchair-bound, but with the help of the centre are now able to walk again.”
The social area is available to members where they can chat, laugh and socialise.
“For some, it’s the only time they do get to see other people. The value of the help the centre provides is truly immeasurable,” said the nominator.
“We would be lost without them, and without their help we would all be in a much darker place. They truly are miracle workers.”
